My weekend! Medicine and soup.
March definitely came in like a lion, at least in regards to colds! Ever since Sadie has started daycare, I don't know if there is a day she doesn't have a runny nose so I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that I came down with both the flu and an ear infection all at once. I am both very relieved that Sadie got the flu shot this year and very disappointed that I didn't get one for myself! I do believe the conversation went as such..... "Flu shot? Nah. Never got one and I never get the flu." In hindsight, those words were doomed to come and bite me in the a$s. What's that phrase..... hindsight is 20/20? :) Luckily, or more like miraculously, we still had a bag of the homemade pasta in the freezer and enough things in the fridge and pantry to make a tortellini feel-better-soon-soup. Really, it was a miracle. We NEVER plan ahead or have exact ingredients on hand. And the best part- John made it for me! They were pork and cheddar tortellini in a chicken broth with veggies- so good and so comforting. Those homemade pastas are certainly paying off! Anywho, still fighting this stupid thing and hoping to feel healthy soon. March, please be true to your adage, go out like a lamb!

Aw, sorry you're sick. :( Ever since Will started preschool last September we've gotten all sorts of sick goodies here. usually it affects him for a day, and then I take it for the long haul! Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
